  1. This README file accompanies NAMEFIX v1.00 for NetWare 386 v3.10 Rev. A.  The
  2. following file(s) is included for this revision:

  4.       NAMEFIX.EXE        8456 bytes        07-26-90

  6. NAMEFIX is a patch utility that removes the erroneous message "Novell In
  7. House Version" from the Console sign-on screen of shipping versions of
  8. NetWare 386 v3.10 Rev. A.
  9.  
  10. To implement NAMEFIX:
  11.  
  12. 1)    Copy NAMEFIX.EXE into the same directory as SERVER.EXE.   
  13.    
  14. 2)    Type NAMEFIX.  The program will patch the file and notify you when
  15.       finished.

  20. Novell's intentions for this software patch is to provide a temporary
  21. work-around to the anomalies described in this file.  Such work-arounds are
  22. typically addressed in future releases of NetWare.  Novell strongly
  23. recommends a backup be made before any patch is applied.
